Situation

Arteriosclerotic vessel diseases, with their clinical consequences such as heart attack or stroke, are the top causes of death in the industrial nations. The Intima-Media-Measurement is a highly precise ultrasound exam during which the most minimal thickening of just a few decimillimeters become visible in this interior lining of the arteries and thus indicate already the beginning of vessel changes.
